The Elusive Happiness

Oh happiness, oh happiness, where do ye hide?

Beyond the towering waves and the blue roaring tide.

Though I've lost my faith, I still dream of thee,

One good chance, to set my troubled soul free.

I've watched the sunsets, painted in gold, red and grey.

But the joy that they brought, It quickly fled away.

Through stormy seas I've sailed, with a heavy heavy heart,

Yearning for a taste of happiness, and to never be apart.

Oh happiness, oh happiness, where do ye hide?

Beyond the towering waves and the blue roaring tide.

Though I've lost my faith, I still dream of thee,

One good chance, to set my troubled soul free.

In the darkest of nights, I hear the seagulls cry,

Whisperin' tales of happiness, up in the sky.

But doubts weigh me down, like an anchor in the deep,

Yet, I pray for one fleeting moment, to break the cycle and leap.

Oh happiness, oh happiness, where do ye hide?

Beyond the towering waves and the blue roaring tide.

Though I've lost my faith, I still dream of thee,

One good chance is all I ask, to set my troubled soul free.

Oh happiness, oh happiness, if ye can hear my plea,

Grant me one good chance, to taste ultimate ecstasy.

Through the vast expanse, I'll continue to roam,

All in search of a happiness that feels like me home.
